From September 15-17 the 15th Annual North American Bird Strike Conference was held in Montreal, Canada. Home to ICAO and IATA, it is an international aviation centre. As a joint meeting between Canada and the U.S., this was a great opportunity to exchange information and viewpoints not only with North Americans but also with all of the delegates who came from abroad. In total, more than 300 wildlife biologists, airside operation managers and other industry experts attended the conference.
Bird Control Group was present and we launched our new product Airside Pro. Airside Pro is a platform for interactive airside management. It provides the best possible sense of situational awareness of the airside area. Steinar Henskes: “It is our goal to contribute to a safe airside for humans and birds. Airside Pro is our latest innovative technology and we are happy that it was received with great interest and enthusiasm at the North American Bird Strike Conference.”
On stage, CEO Steinar Henskes shared the vision of Bird Control Group and explained the unique features of the Aerolaser Handheld and Aerolaser Groundflex. This sparked conversations with US Airforce Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) Team, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and various airport managers.
